Recipes

Strawberry Pretzel Jello (Pretzel Surprise)

  • 2 cups pretzels, crushed (about 4 cups)
  • 3cup butter, melted
  • 1cup sugar
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • Cool Whip
  • 2 (3 ounce) packages strawberry Jell-O gelatin dessert
  • 1 (16 ounce) package frozen sweetened strawberries
  • 2 cups boiling water

*Add blueberries for July 4th! 

"Grandma's" Potato Salad ;)

  • 2 lbs. potatoes (5 to 6 medium), peeled and cut into 3/4-inch chunks
  • 1 cup Hellmann's® or Best Foods® Real Mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
  • 1 cup thinly sliced celery
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 hard-cooked eggs, chopped (optional)

*Add one tablespoon mustard of choice! 

Spicy Creamy Peanut Sauce - Jennifer

Ingredients:

  • 3 tsp minced garlic 
  • 1/2 tsp ginger 
  • 1/4 cup honey 
  • 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter 
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce 
  • 3 tsp rice vinegar 
  • 1/2 tsp chili garlic sauce 
  • 1 lime 

Serve with:

  • 4 oz rice noodles 
  • chopped peanuts 
  • bean sprouts 
  • shredded carrots 
  • 1 beaten egg (optional) 
  • warm shrimp 

Pimento Cheese - Laura

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups sharp shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise 
  • 1/4 block of 8oz cream cheese (softened) 
  • 1 small jar of diced pimentos (drained) 

Combine all and refrigerate.

Taco Soup - Laura

Ingredients:

  • I lb ground beef, browned 
  • 1 can kidney beans
  • 1 can whole kernel corn
  • 1 can Ro-Tel
  • 1 pkg. taco seasoning mix
  • 1 pkg ranch dressing mix
  •  1 can tomato sauce

Combine all in dutch oven and simmer for 30 minutes.

Blackberry Cobbler (Lazy Day Blackberry Cobbler)

Ingredients:

  • 1 Quart of Blackberries
  • 1 stick butter
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ¾ cup self-rising flour
  • ½ cup milk

Melt butter in 9x13 pan in 425 degree oven. In a bowl combine sugar, flour, and milk. Pour mixture over butter. Do not stir. Heat blackberries until very hot in a pan on stove. Pour blackberries over sugar-flour mixture. Do not stir. Cook in oven for 30 minutes. Double the crust if desired. You can use fruit of your choice.
