As a kid I always loved going on hayrides with my family. I lived in a dominantly farming community so the southern Fall/Halloween traditions were always in full force. Hayrides, pumpkin patches, corn mazes, fall festivals, all the fun stuff.
I loved to rake leaves, and after I really liked burning them and roasting marshmallows.
I love the smells of fall and baking pumpkin-spiced goodies, such as pumpkin bread!
October, where I have always lived at least, is peak fall! And there are so many fun things to do. My favorite, though, has to be baking, specifically apple and pumpkin recipes. Here are some treats I have made in Octobers past a few from more recently.
One of my favorite October activities is doing a corn maze and then after we've successfully made our way through, selecting a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch.
