Share a favorite Thanksgiving dinner recipe

Crack Green Beans

Ingredients:

4 cans green beans

6 slices of thick bacon, cooked and chopped

1/2 a medium onion, diced and caramelized

2 cups chicken stock

1/2 cup brown sugar (or more if desired)

2 Tbsp soy sauce

Black pepper to taste

Instructions:

Set large crockpot to a medium heat setting. Include all ingredients and stir periodically. Cook for about 4 hours. 

Alternative cooking option: Set oven to 350. Stir all ingredients into a large baking dish and cook for about 45 minutes or until desired temperature is reached. Cover with aluminum foil. Do not broil.

My Mom's (and Grandma's) Cranberry Relish

1 package Raspberry Jello

1 cup boiling water

1 cup sugar (I try to use less)

2 cups of chopped apples

1 cup chopped walnuts (or pecans)

4 cups fresh cranberries, diced in food processor

5 Ingredient Corn Casserole {Easy Jiffy Recipe}

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces Jiffy Corn Muffin mix
  • 15 ounces whole kernel corn (drained)
  • 15 ounces creamed corn (not drained)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup melted butter

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • In a bowl, mix all of the ingredients together and pour into a greased 8″x8″ baking pan.
  • Cook uncovered for 45-50 minutes or until lightly browned.

Notes

  • Add ½ to 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese….because cheese makes everything better, right?

Parmesan Potatoes

  • 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp freshly ground pepper
  • 4 baking potatoes
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted

Directions:

  1. Combine Parmesan cheese, flour, paprika, salt and pepper in a plastic bag.
  2. Cut each potato lengthwise into 8 wedges. Add potato wedges to bag and toss to coat; gently press cheese mixture onto potatoes.
  3. Pour butter into a shallow baking dish. Arrange potatoes in a single layer in butter.
  4. Bake at 350ºF, turning occasionally, until potatoes are browned and crisp, about 55 - 60 minutes.

Cheese, Peas and Broccoli

Ingredients:

  • 16 oz package frozen broccoli
  • 16 oz package frozen peas
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 16 oz jar Cheez Whiz
  • 1 sleeve Ritz crackers, crushed

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 350
  • Mix the vegetables, soup and Cheez Whiz together
  • Pour into greased casserole dish
  • Top with crushed Ritz cracker crumbs
  • Bake 30 - 35 minutes until bubbly
