A U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs page, this site has access to Bureau of Justice statistics, other Bureau of Justice topics, publications and products, data collections, funding information and data analysis tools. 

The Naval Postgraduate School and the U. S. Department of Homeland Security host this site and its resources. There are links to full-text research papers published in the Homeland Security Affairs peer-reviewed online journal from Summer 2005 (see the Homeland Security Affairs entry below).  

The Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) Program was conceived in 1929 to meet a need for reliable, uniform crime statistics for the nation. Today, several annual statistical publications are produced from data provided by nearly 17,000 law enforcement agencies across the United States.

One hundred and twenty-two institutions are featured here along with map locations by region and breakdown by type of facilities. Here you can look for a job, learn how to find an inmate or read policies and forms. This site also contains links to resources for victims and witnesses as well as ex-offenders.

The Naval Postgraduate School & the U.S. Department of Homeland Security host this site and its journal. The journal is freely accessible, peer-reviewed, and provides a forum to propose and debate strategies, policies, and organizational arrangements to strengthen U.S. homeland security.

Resources areas include policy and strategy, theses and research reports, GAO reports, statistics, key legislation, presidential directives and other documents of interest to criminal justice students.

NCJRS services and resources cover topics such as crime, UCR, victim assistance, and public safety. One webpage links to Federal Resources such as the World Factbook of Criminal Justice Systems, the Sourcebook of Criminal Justice Statistics and other data and reports compiled by the U. S.  Department of Justice or others on criminal justice topics.
