The Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) Program was conceived in 1929 to meet a need for reliable, uniform crime statistics for the nation. Today, several annual statistical publications are produced from data provided by nearly 17,000 law enforcement agencies across the United States.
One hundred and twenty-two institutions are featured here along with map locations by region and breakdown by type of facilities. Here you can look for a job, learn how to find an inmate or read policies and forms. This site also contains links to resources for victims and witnesses as well as ex-offenders.
