This guide features the library's resources for faculty that can be used to assist students with their research.

Library Orientation (Orientation Live!)

Helpful for:
  • Students who are new to CSU
  • Students who need a library refresher

Library Orientation:
  • Held on:
    • Tuesdays at 6:00 PM Central
    • Fridays at 2:00 PM Central
  • Hosted via RingCentral
  • Lasts fifteen minutes
  • Gives students an overview of the library's resources and services

*If students are unable to attend Orientation Live, they may request an Orientation-On-Demand session at a time that is convenient for them (see form below).

Webinars (Library Live!)

Helpful for:
  • All students

Live Webinars:
  • Are presented via RingCentral

  • Offered on varying days and times

Librarians send faculty announcements you can share with your students about upcoming webinars. Emailed about a week in advance of webinars, these announcements provide information about the webinar such as its instructional focus, when the webinar will take place, and a link to the webinar meeting room.

Our current schedule is linked below and at the top of the library homepage. You may also elect to sign up to receive an updated schedule monthly by email through the link below.

Please feel free to post webinar information for your students in your course announcements.

On-Demand Webinars:

  • Are presented via RingCentral
  • Cover a variety of research-related topics
  • Can be requested by students and scheduled at their convenience

Feel free to share our webinar on-demand request form below with your students.

Research Appointments

Helpful for:
  • Students who need in-depth research help
  • Students who flourish with one-on-one assistance

Research Appointments:

  • Are offered via RingCentral
  • Last 30 minutes
  • Offer students the opportunity to learn how to conduct specific research one-on-one with a librarian

During Research Appointments, librarians can help students:

  • Find and evaluate sources for a research report, project, or other assignment
  • Access and use the library databases
  • Brainstorm keywords and recommend search limiters to use
  • Use free folders within library databases to organize research

Students may use the form below to request a Research Appointment with a librarian. This form is also linked within the "Contact Us" box on the library homepage.
