"There was a library in the room where we stayed at the Blue Lagoon in Grindavik, Iceland, where we stayed. I loved it, but I couldn't fully enjoy it because my Icelandic doesn't really exist (none of the books were in English)." - Rene Herron

"As I was exploring a neighborhood in my hometown, I came across a large box with a clear door in which books were stored. It was a community library! I thought that was very cool!" - Alana Scroggins

"I was pleasantly surprised to find a small library on the ship I took on a cruise two weeks ago. It seems that even on vacation, people still enjoy visiting the library!" - Manda Lueders

"While touring the cities, found Ataturk Library in Istanbul and the Azerbaijan National Library in Baku." - Jason Arguijo

"I guess my answer is not so strange to most, but finding a library recently took me by surprise--I wasn't expecting to see one where I did... In a visit to Washington, DC, I stumbled upon a public library just outside the Metro Station in Arlington, VA. Nestled among coffee shops and apartment buildings, it looked like a great place to visit. If I lived in that area, I would definitely be at the library all the time." - Laura Rhoden

"I'm not sure if this particular finding would be considered a library but to me, it couldn't get any closer. While volunteering at some of my local community parks and recreation centers, I came across what at first looked to be a larger than usual bird house. After my curiosity got the best of me and I inspected thus bird house, I realized I was mistaken. Turns out it was a wooden schoolhouse and inside were different books. The roof of the schoolhouse simple stated "Take a Book, Leave a Book". I thought this was such a creative idea." - Amber Jablonski

"I was helping a friend move her daughter to Baltimore, Maryland. We went into the George Peabody Library while exploring the city. This was the most amazing library I have ever been in. The library building was opened in 1878. The stack room has five ornamental balconies filled with over 300,000 books that are under a beautiful skylight." - Marybeth Eggleston

"In old yellow telephone boxes that are no longer needed, in parts of Germany we create small book cells. Anyone can drop off old used books and take out books of interest. The funding for the project will be from the local authorities." - Thomas Riehl

"While not necessarily peculiar, I once visited Bentonville, Arkansas to explore the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. Unlike most museums that also house libraries, this one offered an open layout with a breathtaking view. The images of it simply do not do justice to its beauty. I recall pondering how delightful it would be to work in such a magnificent environment." Jennifer Steinford

"Down a winding road in the little town of Lillian, there is a tiny library on a post in front of a home. It is not in a suburb, but on a rural road. It was an unexpected discovery, and a welcome one. It makes me smile every time I drive by it." - Crystal Martin
