Forward citation mining can help you find relevant sources that have cited your original article. This method can be beneficial in finding newer research related to your topic that builds on your original article.

Forward Citation Mining

Some library databases and search engines have a tool that you can use to conduct forward citation mining. This tool will return results that cite your original article. If the tool is available, it will usually be an option on the main search screen. It may be located at the top of the page:

If you don't see a tool for forward citation searching, you can try searching for the citation's title throughout the entire document. Searching the entire document will also search the articles' references:
