"I love that I can learn on my time and be able to still get things done in my personal and professional life. I had planned on going to college after high school but life had other plans and I became a mother and also worked. I never lost the desire to get my college degree and I thought that I was too "old" to go back to school after my kids grew up and started their own families I did not know where to begin and then I met a woman who took me under her wing and before I knew it I was enrolled in school. I bought my first laptop (I never had a laptop or computer) and she helped me with my first class and other things and here I am today a college student close to obtaining my degree."

"My favorite thing about distance learning is how flexible it is for me. It is very convenient that I am able to study whenever I want and wherever I want, which is essential for me to juggle my busy schedule. Aside from that, I also appreciate the fact that I can learn at my own pace and take breaks whenever I need to. My main reason for choosing to study online was that it was the most convenient option for me at the time. The only thing I had to worry about was having to commute to a campus and trying to schedule classes around my work and family commitments. Compared to a traditional school, I was also able to choose from more courses. This has been an awesome journey to be a student at CSU at my age now and to be online. "I initially chose to study online because of the flexibility and I have stayed because of the empowerment it provides me. As a mom of four kids who juggles work schedules, kids extracurricular activities, kids school, etc. life is very busy.
