Searching in individual databases allows you to do a deep dive into information focused on your research question's subject area; they also may offer additional limiters you can apply to your search such as methodology, tests & measures, and even population.
You can find a list of all the library's individual subscription databases through the "Databases" option on the library homepage. Use the "Subjects" option to filter to databases related to the subject area in which you are conducting research. Librarians can also give you database recommendations, so feel free to reach out to the CSU Library if you have questions.
