Creating Search Alerts

Start Here!

Many of the CSU Library's databases offer the option of creating search alerts. You can use database search alerts to obtain recently published scholarly articles in your field of study. Setting up database search alerts frees you from having to constantly check the library for new scholarly research on your topic; rather, you can have the content delivered directly to you as it is published. You can set searches to run daily, weekly, monthly, or less often. When new items are found that match your search, you will be sent an e-mail message or a new entry will appear in your RSS feed.

Most search alerts require you to create an account in the database first, then perform your search, save it, and then set up your alert.

This guide provides instructions for creating search alerts in the library's main vendors/databases. Use the tabs on the left to navigate to vendors or databases where you would like to create search alerts.
