DOIs

A Digital Object Identifier (DOI) is assigned to electronic journal articles to identify and access those articles. APA citation format requires the inclusion of DOIs within a citation when available.

Finding DOIs

Most current academic articles include a DOI, which is usually listed on the first page of the article:

The DOI may also be listed on the article record page within a library database:
